Piano Recital 2014

Caroline, Romney III, and now Collin have all been working so hard with their piano.  It is not always their favorite to practice, but it is sure fun to hear them play.  They performed in a recital at their teacher's home to celebrate their work for 2014.  They played beautifully-congratulations kids!!

Happy Holidays 2014!!

We had a wonderful holiday season at the Stewart home in 2014-its our favorite time of the year!  But, as life gets busy, my posting has gotten harder.   Even though the holidays are long past and done, I thought I would still share some pictures of our Thanksgiving and Christmas.  We hope yours was great!  We are already counting down for next year.

We had so much fun this year going to Detroit's America's Thanksgiving Day Parade in downtown Detroit.  It really was so much fun!

Sitting down for our feast with Grandpa and Grandma Stewart!  Yum!

Christmas at the Stewart home!

Gingerbread houses with our good friends....the Stewarts!  This year we had to use the store bought kind, I usually make fresh gingerbread but we had to settle for the packaged kind.  It was still fun and yummy!

Halloween!!

Happy Halloween everyone!  We enjoyed the spooky holiday this year!  Here we are carving pumpkins with Grandpa Stewart.  We carved an owl with glow in the dark paint around it-it looked great and really glowed.

The kids this year:  Caroline was the Greek goddess Artimus who is an archer, Romney III was a Michigan football player, Collin was a pirate, and Ainsley was Elsa!  I was a hippie this year and Romney was a crazy guy with yucky teeth (sorry no picks of us).

At Ainsley's preschool class with her classmates.  There were several girls dressed as Elsa!  We had a party and....

Trick or Treated down the hallway.

At Collin's class party and school Halloween parade.  I love the Halloween parades!  He looked great and had a lot of fun playing games and having treats in his class.  Ainsley and I liked the treats too!

At Romney's class Halloween party-its a busy day if you are a Mom hitting all these parties!!  Romney is celebrating here his win in the cup game.  His school also had a Halloween parade-I do like those parades.

At our Church's Trunk or Treat and Chili Cook Off.  We had a great time with friends and got a lot of candy.  I submitted a chili and got third place!  Hooray!

Romney III and Caroline's turn to run

Romney III and Caroline had their schools' fun runs / fundraisers this fall.  Romney's was a one mile run and he ran hard and fast.  Caroline's run was to run around the high school track as many times as you could.  She ended up running an impressive 2 miles.  They both had fun and Ainsley and I were glad we got to go and support and cheer them on!

Its a tough run!

Coming down the finish!
They're off!

Romney's class in front of the turkey-the run is called the Turkey Trot.

Caroline running fast on the track-I think she looks like she should be in a shampoo commercial!

Straw Mazes, Corn Mazes Oh My!

There is so much to do in Michigan in the fall!  The weather is beautiful and trees gorgeous.  We visited several mazes in our area that have cool mazes to walk through and lots of games and fall activities to do as well.  Grandpa Stewart came in for a visit and got to enjoy all the fun!  We loved having him here with us!  Here are some pictures of all the fun!

Victory!  We found the exit and in pretty good time.  We may of may not have cut through the corn.

Spooky!

Super Spooky!

Michigan grows a lot of corn-who knew!?  They have so much that they put it in giant barrels and let kids play in it.  Of course we had to take turns burying the kids in the corn kernals.

A giant straw spider!

We got to shoot corn kernals out of an air gun.  We all tried hard and came close to our target but Grandpa was the sharp shooter and hit it!

Fun with pedal cars!

At the Straw Maze.  It is like a giant pyramid of straw that kids can climb up and through.  Lots of fun!

Glad Grandpa came to visit!

They have pigs, chickens, rabbits, horses and ponies there too.  Caroline got to walk one.

Super Bowl 2014

Collin and Romney III finished their flag football season with the Super Bowl!  They played great and had such a fun year!  They both played in their division's championship games. Collin's team, who went undefeated for the season, lost a heartbreaker during the championship game!  He was a bit bummed but still had fun.  Romney 's team, coached by his Dad, pulled off a win!  They only lost one game this season.  Wow!  Can't wait for next year!  Go Stewart Boys!!
