The joy of the great outdoors

We are really enjoying all of the beauty of nature here in Michigan.  Our yard is home to several new "friends" such as chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits, and a ground hog we named Maxwell.  Deer frequent our neighborhood and we hear wild turkeys and frogs in the trails behind our neighborhood.  It is really fun and we love it.  We have set up a bird feeder to help out the birds (and other critters) and it has led to some exciting bird discoveries!  We have a bird book and have identified several birds of all kinds that have come by.  We even had a red tailed hawk come by-here are some of our other visitors:  woodpeckers, a stealing squirrel we have namced Seymour, and a cute chipmunk that grabs all the leftovers under the bird feeder named "Chippy".   I promise Ainsley is happier then she is showing in the picture-she has a way of frowning when we say "smile" for a picture lately!
