Turtle Fun

Romney II found a baby turtle while golfing and like any great Dad, he put it in his golf bag to bring home and show the kids!  We never knew turtles could be so small and cute!  The kids were so excited- and so was I- we made him a habitat with sand and grass and water and quickly looked up what in the world turtles eat!  We checked out some books at the library and found him to be a Northern Painted Turtle.  It has been fun taking care of him-the kids are good at putting a warming lamp on him! We don't plan on keeping him forever, we think he would enjoy living out in the open.  We will be releasing him soon to the pond behind our neighborhood.  Everyone decided they would rather have a dog if possible.
