We enjoy College Station, but sometimes it is nice to take a weekend trip. We seem to always journey to Galveston and the beach in August to cool off and have fun together before school starts and things get crazy. We love to all stay in a hotel and have a big "sleepover". In the morning, even the hotel breakfast is exciting. We headed off to the beach with a picnic lunch and spent the morning playing in the water, making casltes, burying Dad, and feeding the birds our bread. Caroline and Romney loved boogey boarding and surfing the waves with their Dad. Collin loved the water and crawling along the sand. The water was warm but no major sunburns!! After the beach we headed out to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. It took a few minutes for everyone to be confortable in the restaurant, they have moving animals and thunderstorms like you are in a real rainforest. The restaurant ended up being a big hit and we had a great time. We can't wait for next year!
